Roku Direct Publisher Live Stream and VOD

Hello everyone. I am testing out Kaltura using the free trial and it looks exactly like what I’ve been searching for. It’s especially helpful when it comes to the syndication for Roku Direct Publisher. It really makes everything so much easier.

In order for it to work properly I have the feed URL configured in my Roku Developer Admin with a video format of MP4, MOV, or M4U and things are working very well this way.

I’m almost exactly where I wanted to be however…I also offer a live HLS m3u8 stream. Is it possible to include this in the syndication in Kaltura without breaking the wonderful way it works by default?

What do you mean exactly by telling this: “breaking the wonderful way it works”

what is not working?
what is the error you see?

We were able to use Kaltura for HLS live streaming but it is NOT able to be done in Kaltura without 3rd party intervention and custom coding. We had to basically re-write the M3u8 manifest to be able to use Kaltura + Roku for live.
