I’m not sure if this behaviour is a bug from the Kaltura player.
When I have a Live Entry with DVR and the player has a standard VAST configured, If I play with a iOS device the behaviour is that the player plays the ad but after it jumps to the begin of DVR avoiding the LIVE. This behaviour doesn’t occur with an Android or desktop devices.

I’ve tested with the player v2.57.2 and v2.58.rc9 and the behaviour is the same.
Someone could confirm that it’s a player’s bug?
