Kaltura CE in Canvas LMS

Hello, I currently have a self-hosted Canvas site up currently; I am trying to get the webcam video record feature working in the Rich Content Editor (RCE). I setup my own self-hosted Kaltura site and followed the instructions here: https://github.com/kaltura/platform-install-packages/blob/Propus-16.0.0/doc/install-kaltura-xenial.md

I’ve installed Kaltura on Xenial. Appears to be running fine. But the RCE upload is not working. I can record the webcam, but the when i Finish it just sits. It’s possible this is a mismatch on the ui_confs – i’ve tried a number of different ids, but nothing works.

I also don’t see a way to set-up the notification URL – in Kaltura under integration settings, i get: “Contact your Kaltura Representative to set up Notification Settings.”

Any leads on how to debug? I would really like to get Kaltura working to evaluate it for various use cases.

No matter what we do, the Canvas Rich Content Editor does not work. If i uncheck “Limited Access to legacy Services - PS2 API” i can upload a video via an Inbox conversation. But it errors out in the kaltura_prod.log.

Also the package of elasticsearch that gets installed fails. Apparently elasticsearch has issues with 16.04 – https://discuss.elastic.co/t/cant-start-elasticsearch-with-ubuntu-16-04/48730/28 – although i also understand Kaltura can run without, and I’ve disabled in configurations/base.ini

Can someone please help? Or at least say I’m wasting my time and should not be expecting Kaltura CE to work with Canvas LMS. I would really appreciate it.

Anyone? I have the same situation. Kaltura says it is operating correctly, and I can upload media from within the Kaltura front-end. But I have not found a series of incantations that will allow me to upload media from within Canvas. Everything remains a gray box, and no content seems to upload from my computer.
