How to translate video chapters?

Hello,

Our client has videos with chapters that are currently set to English. We were informed that it is not possible to translate the chapters within a video. Could you please tell us how can this be handled?

Looking at Chapters View page}}

it says that the tags can have something to do with chapters in other languages, how does that work? We (as developers) don’t have access to the Kaltura Management part, we only have access to the framework and the script that is using the Kaltura player js to display videos.

Can this be done through the administration interface or can we override the default chapters with the locally translated values in the script?

Video chapters add info and context to each portion of the video and let you easily rewatch different parts of the video.

There is a option available in Youtube to edit the video chapters, you need to follow these steps -

  1. Sign in to YouTube Studio
  2. From the left menu, select Content.
  3. Click the video that you’d like to edit.
  4. Click **Chapters available and then ADD CHAPTERS and your automatic chapters will appear in your description to edit. You can click Delete to remove automatic video chapters from your video.
  5. Click SAVE.
