Clipping not available/Grayed Out

I am running a cluster installation of Kaltura (currently version 16.5) on RedHat.

I would like to enable the clipping feature for my users, which already was enabled in the configuration for the publisher.

For some reason the Video Editor and Clipping is grayed out when I am logged in with kmcng.

Does anyone know what could be causing this being unavailable?

I can edit it to be enabled, but this obviously only changes the ui.

Hi @kern,

Please see my response here: Kaltura player doesn't play - #6 by jess

Thanks,

Hello @jess , I have this same question. We are trying to do an edit on a video and the editor is greyed out. I went to the link above “Kaltura Player doesn’t play - #6 by Jess” but I didn’t find a resolution on that page.

@kern Did you ever figure this out?

Hi @sbornheimer,

The Editor ist part of the commercial offering of Kaltura.
The CE - Community Edition is just not adjusted to it.

There is the possibility to develop your own Editor and use it via this button.
Our customer decided against developing one due to it being to expensive.

Greetings.

I am facing the same problem and I am still undecided whether to develop my own editor or not.

No replyyy…? can anybody help?

I am working on a Digital display screen and facing the same issue while working with a video. Does anyone have the solution
