Cannot load video, spinning icon only

42%20AM

Hi, I just installed CE and am trying to play the sample videos.
However, all video seem to be stuck in the spinning icon only, and doesn’t play.
However, the thumbnail preview for the time slider work. So when I most to whatever time stamp, the small thumbnail preview changes.

Only 1 video can be played flawlessly, and it is the sample video with 5 second duration. All the other sample videos are 30 second long and all cannot be played
When I look at the CPU usage for the instance, the CPU utilization is close to 0%, so the CPU should be powerful enough

However, when I view it from the flavor preview page, the same video plays smoothly & perfectly

The 2nd problem is the stand alone preview link directs to a new page, but the video player does not show up / display properly
Example - http://video.becca.id/tiny/lhud0

Would appreciate any help to fix this
Thank you

Hello,

Please share a link with an embedded player for an entry that belongs to your partner, rather than to the template partner (ID 99).

In all likelihood, the problem is that the hostname you set for the Nginx server (which, with the VOD module, is used to serve the HLS fragments), is not resolvable from the machine you load the player from or else, the port you selected for the Nginx server is blocked. You can easily check that by opening your browser’s dev tools and checking for errors under the Console tab and failing requests under the Network tab.

Videos shorter than 10 seconds are not served over HLS since ABR protocols (HLS, HDS, DASH, etc) provide no real advantage in such cases. That’s why these play for you.

I am having the exact same issue, short clips play out fine, but i used the exact same hostname with nginx double checked and port 88 i used is open.

The only strange part is that embed urls start with https://http://kalt…
