Not able to understand installation process?

Hi,

I have installed Red5 server but now i dont know which hostname to ping. Now stuck in step 1.

Configure Red5 server 1.Request http://hostname:5080

I have disabled the default hostname . Can i use any host name in /etc/hosts ?

Also when tried to run command :- dpkg-reconfigure kaltura-db
It gave following error’s.

dpkg-query: package ‘kaltura-db’ is not installed and no information is available
Use dpkg --info (= dpkg-deb --info) to examine archive files,
and dpkg --contents (= dpkg-deb --contents) to list their contents.
/usr/sbin/dpkg-reconfigure: kaltura-db is not installed

Hello,

I am not sure I understand the question as to the hostname… you should input the URL that points the hostname on which you install red5 and use port 5080.

As for the other question, the output indicates that the package kaltura-db is not installed. It probably means the install script failed to install it due to missing dependencies.
You should try to install it manually and look at the output to understand why it cannot be installed:
# aptitude install kaltura-db
