Is it possible to use just the new kmcng frontend UI with an older kaltura server?

It is possible but not recommended and I won’t be able to provide support in the event you run into issues. If you want to try it anyhow, you will need to install the kaltura-kmcng package, update /opt/kaltura/app/configurations/local.ini so that the kmcng_version directive is set to the KMCng version and then run kaltura-front-config.sh.
