[kaltura-html5lib ver in KMC config.ini] [FAILED, RC: 1]

Continuing the discussion from Kaltura CE 11.13.0 released:

Hi,
We were talking about this in another thread, but I missed a few days sick and it locked on me. I’ll repost here…

What does /etc/yum.repos.d/kaltura.list contain?
This file doesn’t exist

Also, post upgrading, did you re-run the config scripts?
If not, make sure you do.
Yes. I did,

Also, what is the output of:
rpm -q kaltura-html5lib
kaltura-html5lib-v2.42-1.noarch

and what is the value for html5_version
html5_version = v2.42

and studio_version in /opt/kaltura/app/configurations/local.ini?
;studio_version = @STUDIO_VERSION@

I noticed an update for kaltura html5 lib in yum today, so ran it and the config tests again, but am still getting the [kaltura-html5lib ver in KMC config.ini] [FAILED, RC: 1] message.

At this point, it’s just a sandbox, and I can nuke everything and start fresh, but that seems a little drastic :wink: The rest of the sanity check is running ok.

Certainly no need to start over:)
That test checks the value in
/opt/kaltura/web/flash/kmc/*/config.ini
what have you got there?

Hi @jess

In /opt/kaltura/web/flash/kmc/v5.40.1/config.ini …

component.version = v5.40.1
widgets.*.html5_version = v2.41

That’s about all the likely stuff I see in there.

Thanks,
v

PS. I sent you a PM… let me know what you think.

OK, so, there is so mismatch of versions here.
Can you please upgrade to 11.14.0? it just become the latest stable. I believe it will align things but if not, we can drill down and fix it locally.

Ya, 11.14.0 fixed that, but now I get error where I used to be OK at digesting uploaded content

[kaltura_logo_animated_blue.flv - 0_ed8pi6v7 status] [FAILED, RC: 1] - [-1.083543247]

running kaltlog at the same time seems to produce output similar to this

#12 {main}

Then further down the sanity check I get

[Generate thumb] [FAILED, RC: 255] - [.529179809]

Please see my reply here:

Thanks. I’ll try that. I’ve been using a saved answer file and doing config-all for the last couple upgrades… maybe it’s missing something.

When input is missing from the answer file, it would exit so that’s not it:)
But it is possible something was not properly executed. I believe this will solve it, it’s basically the same steps [or rather a subset of them] that are taken during the postinst phase.

Thanks. I tried a couple times, with errors, and after spending sometime in the rabbit-hole of logs, threw in the towel, nuked the whole lot, started fresh, and have an error-free install to try sample conversion from Falcon with now :slight_smile:
