Deb install broken on clean Ubuntu 16.04

#1

Installed a clean version of Ubuntu 16.04 server 64bit, trying to install the CE version with the docs @ https://github.com/kaltura/platform-install-packages/blob/Mercury-13.16.0/doc/install-kaltura-xenial.md

I get to the point where it attempts to install “kaltura-base” and it gives me the following error:

Setting up kaltura-base (13.15.0-2) …
sed: -e expression #50, char 32: unknown option to `s’
dpkg: error processing package kaltura-base (–configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
kaltura-base
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Any help would be greatly appreciated…

Thanks!

Odd, I ran “apt remove kaltura-base” then “apt install kaltura-base” and it installed fine. Running the script now…

Hi @JoeKewle,

What’s the exact error you get?

Alternatively, you can always just purge with:

# aptitude purge "~Nkaltura" -y && aptitude purge "~Napache2" -y

then rerun the script and, in the event something fails, provide the full output [both STDOUT and STDERR] and I’ll take a look.
