Stretching the video to fit aspect ratio

Hi all

I was just wondering if it is possible to stretch a video to maximum height and width to fit the aspect ratio of the player.

Would preferably not have any black backdrop if a video is not ratio-ed like the player.

Hi,
HTML5 video elements cannot be stretched to proportions which breaks the video aspect ratio. While this option was available with the old Flash player, the new HTML5 player does not support it.
