Hello,

Your issue starts here:
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user ‘kaltura’@‘ip-172-31-24-122.ap-southeast-1.compute.internal’ (using password: YES)

i.e, the script is unable to connect to your MySQL using the kaltura user and the auto generated password it set for it.
You can see the paswd in /etc/kaltura.d/system.ini.

Then, try to connect from the shell, using:

# . /etc/kaltura.d/system.ini
# mysql -h$DB1_HOST -u$DB1_USER -p$DB1_PASS kaltura

I suspect this will fail, seeing how the script does the same and fails.
Then, I suggest you connect using root and run:

mysql> select user,host, password from mysql.user;

And make sure the kaltura and etl users are allowed from ip-172-31-24-122.ap-southeast-1.compute.internal and, if this is cluster, from the other nodes as well.

You probably also want to run mysql_secure_installation on the MySQL server and drop the test DB.

Hello Jess,
We have now moved our setup to single sever installation wth Kaltura CE 10.19 version.We have migrated old content and old database to this server but its not showing videos in content part and video are not able to convert.

Please help

Hello,

You now have a permissions issue. The /opt/kaltura/web/content dir should have correct permissions so that both the ‘kaltura’ user and the ‘apache’ user [www-data for Debian/Ubuntu] can write and read from it.

You can just rerun the kaltura-config-all.sh script so that it fixes the permissions for you, for Debian/Ubuntu, run:
# dpkg-reconfigure kaltura-base
# dpkg-reconfigure kaltura-front
# dpkg-reconfigure kaltura-batch

Hello Jess,

We have fixed the issue of video not converting but we are still facing the issue of videos not showing in KMC content(we have imported the old videos data to new one).

Hi,

Videos that do not show in KMC usually indicate a Sphinx issue.
Try running:
# /opt/kaltura/bin/kaltura-sphinx-reindex.sh

I also still see:
‘Exception’ with message ‘Error: Can’t put file [//content/entry/data/0/6/0_ihcc79p8_0_m6euw0re_2.mp4] - ftp_put(): I won’t open a connection to 172.31.27.185 (only to 54.254.239.131)’ in /opt/kaltura/app/infra/log/KalturaLog.php:83

which indicates some permission issues still exist. From this output, it sounds like this happens as part of a dropfolder job.

Hello Jess

Thanks for your appropriate suggestion …It works for me, now videos are showing.
But i have 4,5 user in publisher …all user are working fine . Except one user in which after uploading video when i am trying to play video then it shows media not found error show (only for new upload …but my old video are working fine).

So please can you suggest me what to do now. (In Publisher Specific Delivery Settings:- Enforce Delivery is unchecked)

and my kaltlog out put are below

Hi,

I would start by comparing the records in kaltura.devliery_profile table between a working partner and a none working one.
Also, in admin console, under your partner, select configure from the ‘Actions’ select box and look at the settings under “Publisher Specific Delivery Settings”

Hello Jess,

Now after some setting under “Publisher Specific Delivery Settings” this user works too, but in all user studio after saving new player or old player we are unable to see player.

so can please you tell what is behind this…error ? (There are nothing in my kaltlog)

Before saving the player

and after saving the player

Hi,

mysql> select * from ui_conf where id=$YOUR_PLAYER_ID;

Make sure that conf_file_path which is relative to /opt/kaltura/web/ exists and the dir is writeable by the apache user.

Hi Jess,

I ran the query:
mysql> select * from ui_conf where id=$YOUR_PLAYER_ID;

But the conf_file_path which i got which is relative to /opt/kaltura/web/ doesn’t exists.
Where does i am lagging. Please help.

Hello,

That would explain the error then. I suggest you check the original deployment and see if the file exists there and then copy it or, alternatively, simply create a new player using Studio and embed it instead. This will be fine so long as you do not have old embeds with the ui_conf ID. If you do have old embeds, then you will either need to find the original conf file or, create exactly the same kind of player with Studio and copy the file to the missing ui_conf location.

Hello all,

I have also also migrated content and database from my previous Kaltura 10.19 CE cluster to new kaltura 10.21 CE cluster.Everything is working fine except the studio player issue exactly as mentioned above by Rahul Bhargava.

After saving an existing or a new player, when i try to edit that player,its showing a blank screen

After editing or saving a player,its conf_file is not created in the below location:
opt/kaltura/web/content/generatedUiConf/23/448/

Please tell if the file is being created or not and if yes,what will be the path except the above mentioned path.
Also, the kaltlog is showing nothing.

Please help.
